How To Prepare Your Skin For A Big Event

This is a very common question I get asked so I thought it’d be fun to share what I did before my own wedding to get my skin in HD clarity.

Months before, I alternated between corrective peels and microchanneling every 4-6 weeks.

Peels target acne, hyperpigmentation, fine lines, and are a collagen stimulating treatment.

Microchanneling is slightly more intense than a peel and it targets texture, fine lines, scarring, hyperpigmentation, and is also a collagen stimulating treatment. *BONUS* every microchanneling treatment I offer includes a peel because the results I’ve seen are more advanced and incredible.

Week of the wedding I gave myself a facial which included chemical/ physical exfoliation to create a smooth canvas. I also did a deeply hydrating and nourishing mask to give me that *glow*. Hydration in the skin is more than just topical though, it’s also internal. To truly have glowing skin, it starts with water so I drank half my body weight in ounces. (pro tip: if you have 1 cup of coffee, it cancels out 1 glass of water starting you back at zero).

Day of the wedding I ice rolled my face to reduce inflammation and it also felt amazing. I did a sheet mask too which locked in moisture.

Before and throughout my entire engagement, I did the most important thing you can do which is use MEDICAL grade skincare. The best of the best. I tailored a specific regimen for my skin and stuck with it.

Preparing your skin for a big event takes consistency and dedication, but it’s so worth it! Nothing feels better than being confident in your skin and when you experience that feeling, you just might become addicted to all things SKIN.
